When a man honours his father and mother, God says, “I regard it as though I had dwelt among them and they had honoured me."
As soon as we lose the moral basis, we cease to be religious. There is no such thing as religion overriding morality. Man, for instance, cannot be untruthful, cruel or incontinent and claim to have God on his side.
Contemplating upon divine qualities, performing good deeds and chanting are all ways of destroying delusion through satsang.
Character is formed from the repeated choice of thoughts and action. Make the right choice-you shall have a firm and noble character.
If an evil man comes and creates a disturbance, you should hold your peace. You must not angrily upbraid his; then he who has come to curse you will merely harm himself.
Only by doing good can one benefit. Those who detach themselves from ‘bad’ and yearn for ‘good’, dedicate their lives to God…and to service of scholars shall be blessed.
