I wish to make a special appeal to mothers to take up the sacred responsibility of keeping the lamp of sangita (music) burning bright in their homes and to instill a love for good music in their children from a tender age.
Home and family is the basic social institution everywhere in the world. When the home improves, the whole world will be better.

I believe compassion to be one of the few things we can practice that will bring immediate and long-term happiness to our lives.
