The mind is the instrument, the flywheel, and the thickest comrade of man. Through it, one can ruin oneself or save oneself. Regulated and controlled, channeled properly it can liberate; wayward and let loose, it can entangle and bind fast.
Chant the name of God with heartfelt devotion. Everything else is just a pompous worldly show.
Earth and sky, woods and fields, lakes and rivers, the mountain and the sea, are excellent school-masters, and teach some of us more than we can ever learn from books.
At the time of God-realisation, nothing new is realised; on the contrary, the yogi feels that this state of God-consciousness which he is experiencing was already known to him.
Surely my prayer and my sacrifice and my life and my death are (all) for Allah, the Lord of the worlds.
