The modern habit of doing ceremonial things unceremoniously is no proof of humility; rather it proves the offender’s inability to forget himself in the rite, and his readiness to spoil for everyone else the proper pleasure of ritual.

“What does this mean?” asked Confucius. Lao Tan said, “It means to attain Perfect Beauty and wander in Perfect Happiness. He who attains Perfect Beauty and wanders in Perfect Happiness may be called the Perfect Man.”
If you want to leave the world better than you found it, then use your heart of compassion and your life of concern.
Even after all this time the sun never says to the Earth, “You owe me.” Look what happens with a love like that, it lights the whole sky.
