Direct the mind resolutely towards God, restraining the senses in their various seats, and looking on the state of the body as a matter of indifference. Realise your oneness with God, remaining continually intent on identifying with its nature…for what use is there in other, empty things?
Make haste in doing good; check your mind from evil; for the mind of him who is slow in doing meritorious actions delights in evil.
Regulate your breathing, and thereby control the mind.
Slowly and steadily cleanse the mind; sharpen the intellect, purify the senses, and win grace.
The mind exists in a state of “not enough” and so is always greedy for more. When you are identified with mind, you get bored and restless very easily. Boredom means the mind is hungry for more stimulus…it is not satisfied.
Every portion of body, mind, and spirit yearns for integration of yin and yang… Where ordinary intercourse unites sex organs with sex organs, angelic cultivation unites spirit with spirit, mind with mind, and every cell of one body with every cell of the other body.
Mind is like an ocean - stormy at the surface, calmest in the depths.
