Be mindful of your duty to God, and do good works; and again, be mindful of your duty, and believe; and once again: be mindful of your duty, and do right. God loves the doers of good.
Develop a mind of equilibrium. You will always be getting praise and blame, but do not let either affect poise of mind: follow calmness, the absence of pride.
Breathing in, I calm body and mind. Breathing out, I smile, dwelling in the present moment, I know this is the only moment.
A man, who realises the potential of his mind by means of introspection and contemplation, does not lack self-confidence. He has control over his mind and he is able to realise its full potential.
The guru cannot awaken you; all that he can do is to point out what is. The guru can give you words; he can give you an explanation, the symbols of the mind, but the symbol is not the real, and if you are caught in the symbol, you will never find the way.
“Make your offering,” said the Master. “As you make it be pleased in mind. Make your mind completely calm and contented. Focus and fill the offering-mind with the giving. From this secure position you can be free from ill will.”
