He is not obtained by mouthing mere words, but by rooting out ego from within.
-Sri Guru Granth Sahib "Guru Granth Sahib"
He is not obtained by mouthing mere words, but by rooting out ego from within.
The gulf between I and you is the ego. When the ego is removed the distance disappears and the ‘I’ and ‘you’ also disappear. They merge to become one — and that is love.
If any achievement of your life goes to your head and you are gripped by ego...
then understand that you have reached your limit to grow. Now there can be only
one way to go and that is downwards.
-Deep Trivedi
The ultimate freedom from the nonexistent ego is to see that it is actually irrelevant.
Even as a mirror reflects an object held close to it, one’s behavior reflects as the ego-sense in one’s consciousness. But if held at a distance, ego-sense does not arise.
Ultimate freedom means to live life freely with ''self-discipline''. Ego means
living by the thousands of disciplines borrowed from vice - virtues, religion and
society.
-Deep Trivedi
There is nothing more "deceitful" than ego in this world. If you want to see,
carefully observe the people who unnecessarily show high moral, talk ethics,
visit temples or strictly follow rituals. Their entire being reverberates ego, yet
they are unaware of it.
-Deep Trivedi
This Self who gives rise to all works, all desires, all odours, all tastes, who pervades the universe, who is beyond words, who is joy abiding, who is ever present in my heart, is Brahmn indeed. To him I shall attain when my ego dies.
After helping someone, if you expect a gesture of gratitude from him, then there
is no point in helping. If you feel good when he expresses his gratitude, then too
helping is useless. In that case, you must understand that your help was merely
a means to satiate your ego.
-Deep Trivedi
Feeling a sense of pride on accomplishing something, is a proof that you have
got more than what you deserve.
